Our Mission


The purpose of South Whatcom Fire Authority (the “Fire Authority” or “SWFA”) is to provide all its citizens emergency services that include but are not limited to fire protection, rescue, and emergency medical services in an efficient and effective manner. These services are provided through organizational branches within SWFA, each having specific responsibilities. The branches are Administration, Operations, and Risk Management and Support Services.
