There is no denying that we are seeing drier and warmer weather than normal to start our summer with no relief seen in the immediate forecast.  This is causing an increased risk of fire danger.  SWFA is asking all residents and visitors to think of their actions with regard to having recreational fires and to defer these activities to a time when conditions improve.  Additionally, we advocate for postponing the use of fireworks near our wildland/urban interface areas and encourage you to visit the organized fireworks display in Bellingham Harbor.
