South Whatcom Fire Authority Locations – SWFA owns and operates four fire stations, and one apparatus/equipment annex building. We currently operate using 24-hour/year-round staffing at our Sudden Valley and Samish Way fire stations using a combination of full-time, part-time, and volunteer firefighters/EMTs. We staff our Geneva fire station when supplemental staffing allows. Our Chuckanut fire station is primarily used for equipment storage and is used by community groups in accordance with our community room-use guidelines. Our Samish Way apparatus annex facility houses additional fire suppression apparatus and supplies due to limited space at our Samish Way fire station.
